Juvederm fillers can be painful at the time of injection and can be more painful in certain areas of the face more than others. However, we will apply a numbing agent to the area being injected to reduce the amount of pain you will experience. All Juvederm filler injections also contain Lidocaine and provide even less discomfort.

There are more restrictions after receiving fillers than when receiving Botox including avoiding lying down for at least 4 hours after injections, sleeping with 2 pillows and on your back, avoiding activities such as exercising, tanning, or hot tubs for several days, and avoiding a massage of the treated area on the day of treatment.
We also recommended you apply cool compresses and take NSAIDs after treatment to reduce discomfort, swelling, or bruising. You will be given a post-filler information sheet with all the recommendations that you will need to know after receiving fillers.
